There are no movie theatres in Dharamshala. A number of tiny video parlours show pirated films, usually the latest Hollywood or Bollywood offerings. In the absence of a dedicated cinema, the main festival venue will be the 500-seat auditorium of the Tibetan Institute of Performing Arts (TIPA), a vibrant organization striving to perserve and promote Tibet’s unique tradition of performing arts. TIPA is within walking distance of McLeod Ganj and offers excellent video projection.

Smaller DIFF venues where re-screenings, masterclasses and panel discussions will be held include the Club House and the Tibetan Day School, both of which can accommodate 100+ people. Both venues are conveniently located in the middle of McLeod Ganj.
